Water Is Essential For Our Health

It's 2016 and we have amazing technological advances like artificial intelligence however most people are still struggling with their physical health. Pharmaceutical companies are making obscene profits, did you know 1/3 of Americans are on painkillers?  Most people are ignoring the very basics, studies show that over 75% of North Americans are chronically dehydrated.

“…When cancer patients come into my office … their bodies are almost always very acidic and toxic. My first task is to get their tissues to alkalinize with alkaline water and alkaline foods.” — Dr. Don Colbert, M.D., author, The Seven Pillars of Health

Water plays an enormous role in the body. We can go weeks without food but without water we could not continue living after just 3 to 4 days. Did you know that most human adults by weight are about 65-70% water, with infants and children typically between 75-80% water?

For the majority of us, we don't like the taste of tap water and it doesn't seem right to spend our money on bottled water everyday. It's now become the north american routine to substitute soda, sports drinks, coffee, tea, juice for water.

Water distributes nutrients throughout the body.  It's a carrier which distributes minerals, vitamins and glucose to cells. In many cases when people get low on energy throughout the day and think they're hungry, the body is actually calling for water.

Water removes toxins from the body.  Our bodies have three times more lymph fluid than blood, yet no organ to pump it. Without adequate water, lymph fluid cannot flow properly.

Water regulates body's cooling system. Water has a large heat capacity which limits changes in body temperature. When you sweat, water comes through your skin to cool your body.

“Because the human body is so unique that it will say ‘I want water’ in food, in any way, shape or form,” said Grace Webb, Assistant Director for Clinical Nutrition at New York Hospital. “People just think that when they start to get a little weak or they have a headache, they need to eat something, but most often they need to drink.”

“Water is necessary for the body to digest and absorb vitamins and nutrients. It’s also key to proper digestion; it detoxifies the liver and kidneys, and carries waste away. If your urine becomes darkly colored like this, we’re dehydrated. The urine should be light, straw colored,” she continued.

Just imagine how much healthier you and your family would be if you drank the highest quality water each and every day!
